Iran has praised Malaysia’s Covid-19 Vaccination
Statement of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kuala Lumpur
In a statement, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kuala Lumpur said many of its staff as well as its Iranian citizens in Malaysia have benefited from the vaccination programme.
“Malaysia launched the national vaccination programme at a critical time. With the necessary measures, the number of vaccinated people rose to over 20 million doses in a few months, and this has led to the admiration of the world,” said the Iranian Embassy in a statement yesterday.
“The daily record of over 500,000 vaccination doses is one of the highest rates. Malaysia also included all foreign nationals in its national vaccination initiative, and no exceptions were made by health officials. This is vaccination without discrimination,” the statement read.
The embassy thanked several Malaysian ministries, namely Foreign Affairs, Health, as well as Science, Technology and Innovation, for assisting Iran citizens in the country to receive their Covid-19 vaccinations.
“In this regard the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kuala Lumpur is grateful for the full and sincere cooperation and assistance of the relevant Malaysian authorities.
“Most Iranians living in Malaysia also benefited from this opportunity to be vaccinated through the mainstream programme as well as coordinated ones arranged by the embassy.
“Undoubtedly, the Malaysian authorities should be commended in this coordinated, fair and just move,” said the statement.
