ٰ Celebration of Iran National Day and 46th Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in Malaysia Alongside with celebrations of 46th Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution throughout Iran, the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Malaysia on Friday, February 7, 2024 at the Royal Chulan Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and then the national anthems of the both countries of Iran and Malaysia were played. Dato’ Seri Mohamad Sabu, Honorable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Malaysia, was present at the ceremony as a representative of the Malaysian government. In addition to his honorable, Mahatir Mohammad former prime minister, Johari Bin Abdul Speaker of Parliamentof Malaysia, other government officials and important political, economic and party figures, as well as industrialists and businessmen, Malaysian media members, foreign ambassadors and Iranians residing in Malaysia were present too. In his speech, Dato’ Seri Mohamad Sabu congratulated and wished success to the government and people of Iran. His Excellency Mr. Valiollah Mohammadi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Malaysia, in his speech at the ceremony, briefly reviewed the struggles of the revolutionary people of Iran against the Shah’s regime that led to the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and listed the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields. In another part of His Excellency’s speech, while congratulating the Malaysian Chairmanship of ASEAN, he expressed happiness with the development of relations and cooperation of both countries in various fields, saying that the two countries have strong, friendly and long-standing relations with each other, and under the administration of the government of Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, honorable Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian, honorable President of Iran, we will witness further flourishing of the relations between the two countries this year. At this ceremony, the Iranian Traditional Music Orchestra performed a live Iranian classical music and Clips introducing Iranian tourist attractions and scientific achivments were also shown to the guests of the ceremony. The guests were treated with a variety of Iranian and Malay cuisine. On the sidelines of this ceremony, an exhibition of Iranian handicrafts, Iranian hand-woven carpets, and scientific and technological achievements, especially in the field of medicine, was held, which was welcomed and drew the attention of the guests.
