Official visit of Malaysian Foreign Minster to Iran
 Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato’ Sri Muhammad Hassan arrived in Tehran on Tuesday, February 25, for a three-day official visit. The eighth meeting of the Iran-Malaysia Joint Commission was held in Tehran with his presence and the accompanying delegation. The Malaysian Foreign Minister also met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his Iranian counterpart Seyyed Abbas Araqchi on Wednesday February 26, and discussed ways to develop bilateral relations and regional developments, especially developments in Palestine. The Malaysian delegation left Iran on Thursday, February 27. Two foreign ministers discussed some issues of mutual interest and regional and international developments. At the end of the meeting, the minutes of the eighth Joint Commission meeting of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Malaysia was signed by the foreign ministers of the two countries. Mr. Araqchi emphasized Iran's special concern for developing relations with Malaysia as one of the important countries in the Asian continent and the Islamic world. The Iranian President in his meeting with the Malaysian Foreign Minister, considered convergence and strengthening relations between Islamic countries, including Iran and Malaysia, to be essential in the current world conditions. He considered greater synergy and coordination between officials and politicians of the Islamic world to be very effective and important in eliminating differences, misunderstandings, poverty and deprivation from Islamic societies, and announce readiness of Iran to expand relations with Islamic countries, including Malaysia, in all fields.
