Iran and Malaysia stress support for Gaza in international communities
During a telephone conversation with the Malaysian leader on Thursday June 5 2025, Pezeshkian extended his congratulations to the Southeast Asian nation over the grand festivity of Eid al-Adha (the Feast of Sacrifice). The Iranian president also called upon Muslims worldwide to collectively assume responsibility and take action in support of the oppressed in the Islamic world.
He also sincerely appreciated the Malaysian prime minister's long-term vision and valuable approach toward the enhancement and promotion of relations among Muslim countries, especially in terms of support for oppressed Palestinians.
For his part, Ibrahim commended the resolute and honorable positions of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian president in defense of downtrodden Palestinians and denunciation of the Zionist regime’s atrocities.
“We, along with Iran, will spare no effort to stop these crimes and restore peace and security to the oppressed people of Gaza,” the Malaysian prime minister stated.
Referring to the recent visits of the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security and the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia to Tehran, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed his support for expanding bilateral relations. The Prime Minister appreciated Iran's efforts to repatriate 2 Malaysian detainees in Iran to home.
