Johari bin Abdul the Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament met with his Iranian counterpart in Tehran

Johari bin Abdul, the Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament, who has arrived in Tehran to attend the presidential inauguration ceremony, met and talked with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Baqer  Qalibaf on July 29, 2024.

 "I hope that  the new government can continue their relations with the friendly and Muslim country, Malaysia, therefore we are ready to advance our relations in a deeper and wider way," Qalibaf said during the meeting with Malaysian speaker.

Stating that there are many capacities to develop relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Johari bin Abdul emphasized that "we are looking to expand our relations with Iran, especially in the economic and energy fields".
